Flu Vaccinations Now Available
We are pleased to announce that our seasonal flu vaccination programme is now underway, with appointments available from 1st October.
Who is eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination?
You may be eligible if you are:
- Aged 65 years or over
- Pregnant
- Living in a residential care home
- A carer in receipt of Carer’s Allowance, or the main carer for an older or disabled person
- In a clinical risk group (including those with certain long-term health conditions)
- A frontline health or social care worker
Invitations have been sent to eligible patients inviting them to book an appointment.
If you believe you are eligible for a flu vaccination and/or have not received an invitation, please contact the surgery on 01924 668977 and our team will be happy to book you into one of our designated flu clinics.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
We are also offering COVID-19 vaccinations; however, vaccine stock is currently extremely limited and all available appointments have been booked. Unfortunately, there is no further availability at the surgery at this time.
Patients who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination, including those aged 75 years and over and other eligible groups, can still access their vaccination through participating community pharmacies.
The nearest pharmacy to the surgery is located on Horbury Road, Lupset, Wakefield, where walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations are currently available.
